At Kakira Sugar Limited, we value our partnerships with our customers and business associates, which have been developed and carefully nurtured over the years. Our success thus far is a collective one, and we remain committed to long term sustainable affiliations.
Kakira Sugar Limited is patronised by a number of channel partners ranging from traditional traders to hyper-marts and neighbourhood convenience stores. These are classified as distributors, stockists, wholesalers and retailers. KSL also serves large-scale institutional and corporate clients, particularly in the food and beverage sector, given that sugar is a key ingredient for FMCG products like Juices, Beverages, Confectionery, Bakeries as well as Breweries.
In addition to direct sales from the factory at Kakira, we have 5 regional warehouses managed by our sales team – catering to 22 regional distributors, 500 wholesalers and over 500 retail stores.
Kakira products are also listed and traded across leading East African e-commerce B2B and B2C portals like Sokowatch, Market Force Technology, Aboro Uganda, Pusha on Line, Kyosk, COPIA and Jumia.
Kakira Sugar is exported to neighbouring Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, South Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
With our total focus on purity and quality, Kakira’s 96.4% extra neutral alcohol (ENA) has a well-established market for local and regional distillers leading brands who produce premium branded products. The Company is also exporting ENA to neighbouring countries and even further afield to Ethiopia and Malawi.
The Company’s blended spirits plant produces a range of well-matured award-winning premium products. These are widely distributed for sale in Uganda as well as regionally. While our blended spirits are already on shelves in the US market, Kakira continues to explore other export markets for luxury beverages.
Some important customers, who play a vital role in our continued success, include Diageo (both East African Breweries Limited and Uganda Breweries Limited), Nile Breweries Limited (AB InBev) and Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (Distell Group), for ENA and the Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) for KSL’s green electricity.
