Sweetening Uganda since 1930!

  • Part of the Madhvani Group of Companies.
  • Providing a livelihood directly and indirectly for over 100,000 individuals.
  • Crushing over 6,000 tons of cane per day.
  • Producing more than 150,000 tons of sugar each year, with 10.5 months continuous operation.
  • Employing over 7,500 persons.
  • 10,000 ha of land under cane on own nucleus estate.
  • Over 7,000 outgrower farmers supplying sugar cane.
  • Just completed major expansion program - increasing outgrowers land under cane to 19,000 ha.
  • Social infrastructure includes staff housing, electrical distribution systems, roads, a 75 bed hospital and 12 schools for employees' children.
  • Generating 22 MW of electric power on 24 hours/day basis - of which 12MW is supplied to Uganda’s national grid.
